PLZ HELP...I LOVE THIS GAME, BUT WHEN I PLAY IT THE SCREEN BLACKS OUT WHEN I TRY TO MAKE A NEW CHARACTER, WHEN I LOOK AT MY INVENTORY..WHEN I SAY SCREEN BLACKS OUT I DONT MEAN THE WHOLE ENTIRE SCREEN, I MEAN THE INDIVIDUAL ITEM SCREEN SPACE AND THE TRAINING POINT SCREENS AND WHATNOT, ALMOST EVERYTHING EVERY SCREEN BLACKS OUT SOME, IT IS SO ANNOYING WHEN GOING THROUGH LOOTS AND WHATNOT...I AM RUNNING WINDOWS 7 AND IDNT KNOW THIS IS HAPPENING AND IF IT IS BECAUSE I AM USING WINDOWS 7

2. The problem is hard to solve and in most cases not really fixable if you use win7But you could try the following stuff:
1. Try the Pink-Bug Fix --> LINK
2. If possible disable all features in your graficcardsettings for Siege of Avalon
3. If possible set the colour depth to 16bitSometimes it helps, but that depends hardly on your hardware.
Newer PCs always have unfixable problems with Siege of Avalon, so maybe
it could be a solution to use a VM with older Windows (98/XP recommend)Edit: I merged both topics because it is the same problem

If you use a Nvidia Card it can be found there:
1. Double click Control Panel on your desktop
2. Open Nvidia Control Panel
3. Open the 3D Settings
3a. Click on Manage 3D Settings
3b. Go to the Program Setting Tab

3c. Manually add the Siege of Avalon Exe-File
3d. Disable anything in the Settings for Siege of Avalon
4. Pray

Last hint for Win8 users, right click the Siege.exe and use the reduced colour mode

It means that your shift key was pushed all the time and using capital letters all the time
is hard to read and annoying. -
Nearly anthing of this must be disabled:
- Anisotropic filtering
- Shadersettings
- Antialiasing (transparency/Gammacorrection/...)
- Texturefiltering (Negative LOD/Trillinear Optimation/...)
- colour depth if possible (16bit)It is a try & error thing..so you could test different settings especially
at the Texturefilters....maybe something there works for you.Real problem with the blackscreenbug is that there is no way
to fix it every time. But good luck

Your problem is pretty common under Win7. As Hades said already, please try to install the pink-bug-fix, it might help with your problem.
You can try to edit the siege.ini and change the parameter from "UseVdieo" from false to true or otherwise round.
Another possibility is to install the Siege Patch 1.4 which is availiable here:

Also: Pleas install Siege of Avalon not onto a different partition than windows OR always run it as admin.

Tried to run the game as admin?
It is important that not only the launcher (if used) is run as admin,
the DTMain1.exe must be flagged as "Run in admin mode" too. -
did that too.. still no sound =(
heres what my folder looks like, maybe includes some clues? idk...figures i can play the game now without spazzed out black flickering bug..with the sacrifice of the games sounds and music....

If running DTMain1.exe as admin doesn't help I have no idea, sorry.
At least there isn't something suspicious in your folder, so it seems to be
another problem with win7 :-/
