Sorry, I meant "unique" flags (like 01ToldChalice or 01GotAmulet) are sometimes added to the NPCs instead of the player for some reason, but it doesn't seem to be an issue because they are only used in the conversation with that… -

Trotzdem man "nur" lesen konnte waren die Charaktere doch gut ausgearbeitet, unterscheidbar und einprägsam, sogar solche, die einem nicht mal Quests gegeben haben.

you've got everything right. In your case, as you want to play the other stories too, you just need to install the Modpaket - the DLC-Style one which is the new engine new engine. The other Modpaket is for the classic Version from 2001 btw.
